Say hello to our new geisha lot from la palma farm at Santa Barbara in Colombia.
@pergaminocafe is the milling and exporting arm of a wider family- owned company called Santa Barbara Estate, operated by the Echavarria family.
The company was founded four decades ago, and today is headed up by Pedro Echavarria Jr. and Léonardo Henao Triana, a passionate, innovative and hard-working duo, who have incredible local and international knowledge of coffee production and trade.
This specific geisha is grown high in the Andes, particularly in the Antioquia region, which has the perfect conditions to produce exceptional coffee, with a unique microclimate, rich volcanic soil, and high elevations.
When we tasted it, it stood out immediately, with all its floral and elegant notes to the touch thanks to its prolonged fermentation washed processing. Expect notes of Brown sugar, Lemongrass and Mandarine in a filter roast.
