MOLINOS
Founded in 1960 by a local family, Molinos de Honduras is the country’s oldest existing coffee exporter. What began as a small milling company evolved into a national leader when it joined the Volcafe Group in the late 1980s.
Now focused entirely on coffee, Molinos operates wet mills in San Pedro Sula, Santa Rosa de Copán, and Comayagua, with buying stations in San Nicolás and El Paraíso. Their shift from using intermediaries to direct purchasing allows them to reach remote farms, ensure better quality, and pay farmers more—building stronger, more transparent relationships from crop to cup.
