Brussels Brewers cup masters 2025

We joined The Brussels coffee show in November 2025, and it was an eye opener…

The show is a must, if you like specialty coffee and live in Belgium its a very nice venue to go to, its located inside the old Tour & Taxis industrial site which had a modern revamp and great place for events and family outings.

Competing: We packed our car and rode 5h to Brussels exited and nervous at the same time, cause for the first time one of us was going to compete in a Brewers Cup. Our colleague Ernests Berzins is a very miticulouse and precise brewer, taking care of the most minimum detail, he practiced several recepies with several drippers to get to the right concoction. He also used Apex Labs drops to balace out his cup.

The coffee: In the preliminaries Ernests brewed our Crem Brulee coffee, using a hario switch and hario v60 drip assit with Sibarist “Fast” filters. With a coarse grind of 18g to 270ml of water. In the final round he was give a mistery coffee and had to give his profile analysis on the coffee.

Ernest won 1st place! With the jury congratulating him on his performance.

Even though we had less sales than expected mainly (we think) because people were not familiar with our brand in Belgium, we did have lots of happy tasters, and will for sure come back for round 2 next year!
