The Story
This lot comes from the COCARIVE Cooperative, located in Carmo de Minas, Minas Gerais. It was founded in 1961 and is made up mainly of small farmers in the region; 80% of its fazendas are less than 7 hectares and are located in the Serra de Mantiqueira. The coffees are produced between 900 and 1500 m above sea level and 95% of the coffee harvesting is picked by hand.
COCARIVE is a reference in the global specialty coffee community and its coffees have received numerous quality awards over the years.
In June 2020, Mantiqueira de Minas was officially registered as a “Denomination of Origin”.
