The Story
Run by the Gutiérrez family, Finca Monteverde is a regular winner of Colombia’s annual Cup of Excellence competition, a testament to their impeccable growing and processing methods.
Johan Gutiérrez, a fifth-generation coffee grower of this family, who decided establish a processing center in La Esmeralda in 2018 with the aim of offering better prices to local producers. His vision included sourcing coffee cherries and implementing rigorous fermentation protocols to generate higher volume batches with consistent cup profiles. Additionally, raise international recognition of high-quality coffee produced in the region.
