New Specialty Café in Assen

Assen is the capital of the province of Drenthe in the Netherlands, its famous for its amazing biking routes, green surroundings and TT Circuit.

Finally the specialty coffee bug has bitten Drenthe, with the opening of Sijl café in the heart of Assen, this city, we are proud to work together with Sijl Cafe where you can taste 3 of our beans (Nonna Anna, a decaf and light roasted bean).

Jibbe, the owner, is a visionary barista (and ex-roaster) who has an eye for detail and an exquisite palate for quality products.

Apart from coffee, they offer regional chocolate bonbons, matcha, pastry and an assortment of other beverages. Sijl cafe is a must visit when touristing the city.
